Temperatures are definitely rising and that could only mean one thing….. WAR Wrestling Club rolls into their summer season! We have programmed the whole summer designed to help our athletes to get stronger, faster and more technical on the mat.
We will be starting our practices on Monday (6/2) with strength and conditioning 10-11am Monday-Thursday. Our programming is wrestling sport specific with large compound lifts for strength gains as well as circuit training to help increase muscular endurance on the mat.
Wrestling practices will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
5:00-6:00pm Beginner (0-2 years exp)
6:00-7:30pm Advanced
Although our training starts on Monday, our wrestlers were on the mat this past weekend at the Liberty duals for plenty of mat time and great matchups.
Liberty puts on great summer duals, bringing in teams from California, New Mexico, Utah and top teams from around Arizona.
Our youth/middle school team competed on Thursday for 3 duals going a perfect 3-0.

Our HS team got a ton of matches in this weekend. Going 11-1 on the weekend; our kids proved that hard work and consistency pays off. Our style of wrestling really showed this weekend as our boys gained confidence with their wrestling match after match.
We also had multiple 8th grade graduates wrestling is the HS division for the first time and they showed up! Our incoming freshman went a combined 22-2 on the weekend! Welcome to HS!

Our next competition is June 14th at Horizon HS for more summer duals.
